Thinking of you flowers

Hi there! Just popping in with a quick post of a card I made for a friend, using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #175 and the colours at Colour Throwdown #331. I used my Flower Fair Framelits dies, Modern Label punch, Sentiment from Hopeful Thoughts and some matching candy dots. I love the combination of these colours together!

Have a great weekend!

60th birthday!

Good morning friends! I'm showing you a card today that I made for a really good friend of ours who just turned 60 yesterday! Of course, he doesn't look a day over 40 ; )
After I'd posted it, I had a few doubts about the gold numbers; just didn't think they were manly enough! But, too late, it was in the postal system and there was nothing I could do about it!

I used the sketch at Case This Sketch #111 and also a colour combination from Split Coast Stampers #518.

brown sugar
pistachio pudding
hello honey
crisp cantaloupe
coastal cabana

Thanks for your visit today!

Freshly made 50th

Good evening and welcome back! I have a card that I'd like to share with you that I made for my hubby's 50th birthday which is tomorrow. Yes, he has finally caught up with me! It's always more difficult to make a card for a man, don't you think? No flowers, lace or even ribbon, well, not for my man, anyway! He's a plain and simple person. Well, I liked this sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #174, perfect for his card. I also incorporated some arrows for the challenge at Seize the Birthday. Also, I've just discovered I can enter this into the challenge at CASology - week 134 too which is to be monochromatic this week!

Stampin' Up! colours: Pool Party and Island Indigo
Stamps: Tape It
Add Arrows and/or Hearts

Simply Embossed

Hello fellow bloggers! Today I'm showing you a card I made for one of my best friends who hasn't been well recently and of course I wanted to cheer her up. I have also made a box with a couple of little gifts in it for her.

I am entering the card into three challenges:

Less is More - clean and simple and using the colours pink and grey (I used Pink Pirouette and Smoky Slate inks along with my Blender pen for a watercolour effect)
Happy Little Stampers - February Sketch
Happy Little Stampers - CAS Embossing

The stamps I used are (as always, Stampin' Up!, unless stated otherwise) So Very Grateful and Simply Wonderful.

"Less is More"

Here are some photos of the little box, made using the fabulously versatile Envelope Punch Board with a template from here at The Crafty Owl (wonderful resource, I use it all the time) and also using the Top Note die for the cover. I coloured this with my Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blendabilities.

I'm entering this into the challenge Anything But A Card - Friendship.
